FAQ

Factors Affecting the Resistance Between Electrodes

Spot welding machine and projection welding machine are both resistance welding machine. The projection welding machine is pre-installed on one side of the workpiece for welding, and is generally equipped with a T-shaped copper table. The current welder basically takes into account spot welding and projection welding in structure. Great convenience for on-site use.

The difference is in the electrode form and the workpiece: Spot welding machine electrodes are generally up and down double pointed electrodes, or one tip and one flat electrode, and the workpiece does not need special treatment; the projection welding machine has flat electrodes up and down, and the workpiece needs to be preset bumps.

Projection welding machine has the following advantages compared with spot welding machine:

1. Multiple welding points can be welded in one welding cycle;

2. High current density;

3. The welding position is accurate;

4. Reduce surface indentation;

5. Compared with spot welding, it has less influence on bad factors such as oil and rust.

The spot welding machine is a high-speed and economical connection method. It is suitable for the manufacture of stamped and rolled thin plate components that can be overlapped, the joint does not require air tightness, and the thickness is less than 3mm.

Projection welding, like spot welding, is a welding process that combines heat and mechanical (force). In comparison between the two, its mechanical effect and influence are greater than that of spot welding machines, such as the requirement for followability of the pressure mechanism And the influence of the whole process of welding joint formation, etc.,

In the same welding cycle, multiple solder joints can be welded with high quality, and the pitch arrangement of the solder joints does not need to be strictly required as in spot welding. Because the current is concentrated at the bumps, the current density is high and the available is small. Reliable solder joints and shallow indentation can be obtained with a current of less than 1 ℃. This feature is especially suitable for the welding of plated plates.

Surface effects, oil stains, rust, oxide scale plating and coatings on the surface of the weldment have little effect on the quality of the solder joints.

Therefore, with the development of science and technology, companies generally require spot welding and projection welding in their selection of welding machines, so they are now called spot and projection welding machines.
